Manages sales of Oracle consulting services. Manages, through other managers, the activities of Consulting Sales organization in support of achieving sales objectives. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle consulting services to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Networks and develops strong business relationships. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget. Manages escalations.
Strong leadership skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Industry experience. Able to develop executive level relationships. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred. BA/BS preferred. 7-10 years direct sales experience. Experience managing staff. Willing to travel regionally. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Role We are currently looking to hire 1 experienced Consulting Sales Director for ECE. In this role you will report to the Consulting Cluster Leader ECE & CIS and have responsibility for all consulting bookings in the ECE region, either through managing the group of ECE Consulting Sales Representatives (Field & Inside) or by performing sales directly with specific focus on SaaS, IaaS and PaaS solutions. Scope •Reports to the Cluster Consulting Leader •Works collaborative in the country and ECE region with License sales, Industries, Support & business support functions to achieve Consulting bookings. •Engages in external relations vis-à-vis Customers and Partners as a Senior Oracle representative •Represents Consulting both internally and externally Responsibilities •Lead & manage the team of Consulting Sales Representatives in ECE •Drive the bookings for both mainstream and new business in the ECE region •Perform overall pipeline management for the region •Fulfill personally the country bookings quote that is not allocated to the Country Consulting Sales Representatives •Drive the overall Opportunity Management Process for consulting in the country •Drive the overall bid management process for consulting offers •Ensure project success of each engagement both financially as from a customer satisfaction viewpoint Qualifications •Proven ability to sell cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) to customers on CxO level •About 10 years of management experience in a consulting or sales environment of a leading software vendor or system integrator •Proven ability to operate in a networked environment (matrix-model, multiple reporting / interaction-lines) •Perseverant, ‘can-do’ attitude (i.e. seeking multiple alternatives to ‘get the job done’ when the initial approach doesn’t succeed)
